Men were given dominion, so they cut down the great forests, the lungs of the earth, because they needed paper to make their fake gold. When they had enough fake gold to sit fat in their ivory towers, they set fire to the rest to make space for their cattle, and to keep their power over the people.
Men slayed the great beasts with no honor but for status, because he said he’d been given dominion over them. Men slayed the wise, the old. Displaced and marginalized the spiritual leaders and healers with a plot to make them appear as fools.
And the people ate it up, they ate the fear they were fed, the ate the cattle and they gave away their power to the Real Fools - the ignorant pompous men sitting in their ivory towers built on the backs of the earth and her people.
But earth is tired and groaning. As she cries even her tears are toxic, because the fools dumped poison into her waters. She is tired of feeling her lungs burning. Tired of watching the fools slaughter her children. She is tired of seeing her people in slavery. She is tired of seeing her messengers get cut down.
She is sick. She is tired. She can no longer breath. Her temperature is rising.
She’s had enough. She’s watched as the mighty beasts get murdered. She’s watched as plants are mocked, their medicine discredited and outlawed. She’s watched as she’s poisoned. She’s watched as her beauty is transmuted into caustic poisons to fuel their fake world. She’s watched as the people who were to be her protectors give away their power to the fools in the ivory towers.
And she’s had enough.
So she laughs as she sends a new messenger, the smallest organism on earth, the tiniest foe to challenge the fools.
The fools thinks its nothing, they have dominion do they not? They have slain the mighty, harvested and raped the earth, enslaved the people. Our dominion can’t be challenged they think. They are drunk on their stolen power.
But now its the fools turn to watch.
They watch as their towers crumble and fall. They watch as the people grow restless. They watch as the corporate beast grinds to a halt. They watch as people laugh at their fake gold. They watch as people stop eating their cattle. They watch as their facades burn - mother earth has set fire to their fake world with the smallest possible force.
And yet here we are - the people are on their knees, watching the death of our own en mass. Here we are, burying our elders and our young, our fellow humans. The mask of death has been ripped off. In fact, there are no masks left. The truths that have been buried for so long are being exposed. The veils that the fools put over the eyes of the people are finally being pulled back. We are forced to see all this as we sit locked in our cages we built for ourselves on the back of the earth.
So it’s time. Time to let the towers crumble. Time to let the fools fall. Time to let the systems burn. Time to stop being complicit. Time to take back our power. To come together to do what the fools have refused to. It’s time to let the earth regain dominion over herself.
